The event was inaugurated by Hon’ble Shri Justice Dinesh Kumar Paliwal, Judge of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh, who emphasized the importance of promoting transgender welfare and suggested legal reforms to foster a more inclusive society. Prof. (Dr.) V. K. Ahuja, Director of the Indian Law Institute (ILI), New Delhi, also delivered a compelling keynote address, setting a profound tone for the discussions.

Organized by the Centre for Constitutional Law (CCL) at DNLU, the conference brought together legal experts, activists, and policymakers to address the challenges faced by transgender individuals in India. The hybrid event featured keynote addresses, panel discussions, and paper presentations, covering diverse topics such as legal frameworks, social challenges, healthcare access, identity recognition, and intersectional discrimination. Esteemed speakers included Dr. Veena Roshan Jose (MNLU Nagpur), Mr. Syed Raza Hussain Zaidi (Naz International), Ms. Ellis Kokko (University of Edinburgh), and other distinguished personalities.
